Moonshadow in progress

My painting Moonshadow is in the beginning stages. There are a lot of brushtrokes visible and I haven't decided if that's the way it should be or if another background layer is coming. I love the luminosity of the "turquoise" Perfect Pearls Mists over the Folk Art Shiny "Night Sky".  The moon face is going to be painted on Arches 140 # Hot press watercolor paper and then mounted on something thick to stand out from the canvas sky. I'll keep you posted as it starts to the next phase. lol.

I enjoy seeing this process. I love, love, love the colors in this! I was just out taking pics of the moon the other night. I like it! June Maddox
