Vacation Time

We are leaving for RI for a couple of weeks - Lots of time blocked off already. I would like girl time to chill and shop. Hope that happens. I should have plenty of photos to post when I get home.

Challenges

It is always difficult for me to budget my income. Now that I live on my SS it is more of a challenge. It looks very much like I need to start creating some income with my Art. I may start with some note cards like I have done before and possibly get a booth at a couple of Art Shows. I would like to at least make enough to keep going to the hairdresser and out with the girls a couple of times a month. It all adds up. 1 + 1 = 10 lately. So I start planning...

On a positive note, I had my first Acupuncture experience and it was amazing. The inflammation of the nerves in my right foot is mostly gone and pain free. I loved my doctor. We are on the same wavelengths in so many ways. Synchronicity!

Play Time

I have been spending a lot of time playing with my new camera in my neighbor's gardens. And making ATC cards and adding to my current Art Journal. We had a great time at RED SOX Nation Meeting last week and lots of lightning on the long way home in the golf cart. Today I have lunch with the Red Hat group at the local Japanese restaurant. New Techy Stuff

I am going to experiment with my new camera today. I am so excited to have the camera of my dreams (thanks to hubby for my early b'day gift). I also upgraded to a Droid cell phone. So I have a lot of Techy stuff to learn.

We went to my cousin's house for a Lobster Boil this week. It was the best dinner I have had in years...absolutely awesome. Thanks guys!

Showcase Luncheon

Today I went to a Showcase Luncheon at Nancy Lopez Country Club in The Villages, FL where Artist/Writer Diana Hollingsworth Gessler was the speaker. She is a lovely talented lady whose Travel Art Journal Books are as lovely and informative as she is. Please check out her books and her Art (she is represented by a gallery in Naples, FL).
She also writes a feature article for "Southern Lady" magazine. If you haven't seen it - it is full of wonderful recipes, entertaining touches, decor, and gorgeous photography.

I will have to upload a photo of the sweet Doll Cake made by Suzette Katrishen to celebrate a birthday today.
